WELCOME to
Butler County Democrats for Change
(DPAC)

Over 45,000 Democrats in Butler County...and GROWING!
Please join us at our regularly scheduled monthly meetings.

The Butler County Democrats for Change (DPAC) is a grass roots type Political Action Committee (PAC) comprised of registered Democrats of Butler County. 

DPAC is an organization that meets monthly and  has activities to make Butler county a stronger Democrat county.

Paid Members of DPAC all vote at meetings  We need new people with new ideas to join us.

Working together we can make changes and support and elect Democrat candidates. Please join with us at our  regular meetings monthly.

DPAC is a State PAC -- which means that DPAC can accept donations and use its treasuries to influence elections and the voters by supporting issues and candidates on a local and state level.

We are a grassroots membership based organization. We invite the public to attend our meetings or events (and decide if you want to join with the many others who support progressive democratic ideals). Butler County is located in western Pennsylvania about 45 minutes north of Pittsburgh.

This grassroots organization aims to educate the public about important issues which affect their lives, the differences between candidates, and the local and state elections affecting the western PA region.

Being a grassroots organization, the decisions of who or what we support is made by the DPAC membership (not by the executive board and not by the state or national democratic committees). Unlike other organizations, ALL paid-up members of DPAC have a vote and voice. The membership decides what are important issues on a state and national level.

Also, as a political action committee, we fund raise so that we can assist progressive Democratic candidates in their quest to become elected. As our "overhead" is low, approximately 90 - 95% of the monies that we raise goes towards helping progressive Democrats who share our beliefs become elected.

We invite candidates running for office as Democrats to meet with and address our members at our public meetings.

Our membership discusses, reviews and decides everything. Candidates need to be more than "just" registered with the election bureau as a democrat. Our grass roots membership will review every candidate to determine if they have the same values as our membership and therefore deserve our endorsement and/or support. For example: at the June 20, 2007 meeting, DPAC's general membership voted to endorse and write checks to 4 local candidates -- checks totaling $1,400.00
